Sorry for my mistake, Sunnie.
I was wrong changing the order of hotmail/cwebmail !!!
The "correct" pop3 server from Hotmail was:
        pop.hotmail.cwebmail.com

Even I was wrong, I don't know why "pop.hotmail.cwebmail.com" didn't
work for you.
It did properly with my Netscape Messenger, but it's not my usual
account, so I just check it "very" periodically!

Mr. Gerry Boyd will help you on this topic for sure! :)

Anyway, I tried a minute ago with this pop server, and hotmail sent to
me the following message:

Subject: How to control our mails ?

Hi, everybody

Now, I am joining many mailing list. I have to receive a lot of mails every
day and most of them are not nescessary for me.

Some people tell me that I should use Microsoft Outlook to send and receive
measages. This software have a function which allow us to preview the
subjects of measages (or "header") in our mail box at the server so that we
can choose some measages which we can to download to our computer.

Therefore, could anybody tell me how to use find out and use this function
?

(I am using MS Outlook for Windows 98)

Thank you in advance.

instead of pop.cwebmail.hotmail.com
I have tried it and it worked well,

This problem may be explained by the fact that pop.cwebmail.hotmail.com
(and pop.hotmail.cwebmail.com) is not a valid internet name.

You need to have the CwebMail.exe program running when you try to retrieve
your HotMail mail via POP. (Download from www.cwebmail.com)

I understand what actually happens is that the program accesses the web
account (which means you need to be connected to the internet) and speeds
up the task of retrieving mail with some software magic. It then processes
the received mail through the program running on your computer, so that
your mailer program sees the mails as coming from a pop server.

Hell, you oughta get the digest every single day, what with the stats being
sent out no matter whether there are any posts or not. I still strongly
feel the stats should be taken off the list. I think this post illustrates
that not everyone (possibly even a minority of subscribers) actually bother
with the stats, which means it's just a waste of bandwidth.

Subject: How to obtain several *.lex and *.dll files to carry on spanish
         grammar check in Word

Hi there!

I am stuck with starting the grammar check in spanish in Word 97.
Till now I've doing smoothly but since a few days I can not check any
document in spanish although i do not have any problem to carry on in
english.
I suppose that the problem could be in something wrong with the *.lex files
and the MSSP232.DLL needed to do so.
To my knowledge the ones needed are:

1. MSWDS_ES.LEX
2. MSTH_ES.LEX
3. MSSP2_ES.LEX
4. MSHY_ES.LEX
5. MSGR_ES.LEX
6. HY_ES.LEX
7. MSSP232.DLL

Am I correct or am I missing something?

How can I obtain copy of this files?

Sincerely,

Lazaro

Dear Roberto:

Probably the resource that you're looking for would be the Netmind
service.
The latter service allows you to register URLs of interest to you, and
when anything changes on the page the service sends you a notice about
the change by e-mail.
As part of the registration process you *can* make a short comment and,
if you wish, a descriptive title concerning the site; the title and
comment would be sent to you as part of the notification e-mail.
The URL of the service is: http://mindit.netmind.com/

I hope this is what you're looking for.

                                       Sincerely,

I vote to keep the "FTPMail, Agora, etc. statistics".
I know that you could get it by sending a email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with "get file stats.txt".

But its much more convenient if it's sent along with
ACCMAIL. It saves the trouble of remembering to
send request for it.

Along with me, majority on this list, I'm sure, has only
email . . most of the time. The " FTPMail, Agora, etc.
statistics" is a blessing to have in hand before sending
for a request. Sending for request would not be like
groping in the dark.

I see a lot of posts on the list inquiring if services
are down. If only they took a look at the "FTPMail,
Agora, etc. statistics" it would have saved them a lot
of time, trouble and disappointment.

Please try and keep it!

Thanks,

Sen Constantine

It's actually MIME base-64 encoded, not UUencoded. There is a
discrepancy between the help file avialable by E-mail and the web
page help file.
