Subject: office space & standards?

Hello;

Is anybody aware of a website where I can find infos about working space
and standards? I need something for office work, public sector, any
country. From my searches so far it seems that only industrial work is
regulated...

Thanks in advance

Most of the systems that do not allow it have a thin, or already
overtaxed, pipe to the internet. It is that resource that these tend to
overload.

Gerry - this is my reply to your off-list message to me. I'm sending it to the
list as it keeps getting bounced back from your autoresponder, though I put
nothing in the subject line (anything I put there is automatically changed bo
upper case by my mailer).

I never got the first message, but the second seems to have solved the mystery.
Here's where it stopped dead ...

Accmailers,

This is a test to prove whether or not a period in column 1 truncates
the digest.

The next line has the period in column 1.

Glad to have been of help! I'm no computer buff, but I do like looking into
details when things go wrong.

I'm sure you'll find a way ... and we can all look forward to getting full
digests again. :-)

Thanks for your help.

It is probably because these mail robots consider '+' as a special

we can overcome this?

ISO International Standard 9241, "Ergonomic Requirements for Office
Work with VDTs."
I don't have a link for this.

Some 1991 OSHA Proposed Standards can be found on this page:
http://www.ergoweb.com/Pub/Info/Std/oshaopts.html

More links on this page
Ergonomics Standards and Guidelines
Ergonomics Compliance with OSHA
Ergonomics Concepts
Reference Materials Professional
Organizations in Ergonomics
Proceeding from "Managing Ergonomics in the 1990's"
http://www.ergoweb.com/Pub/Info/infoopts.shtml

The UK Ergonomics Society has a HUGE (too many to list) links page at:
http://www.ergonomics.org.uk/links.htm

You might use a search and search on "ergonomics" or "human factors" as
most office space rules have to do with computer keyboard placement,
desk heights, distance from the PC monitor, exercising in place,
radiation, etc.

First, the next time you post, please turn off you CAPSLOCK key. Typing
a message in all uppercase is considered to be bad nettiquette and
implies you are shouting.

Not using the built in features. Though I guess I could create another

I may take it out of my sig, then manually insert it for the other two

Your english is better than some on this list.

To oversimplify: These are the two common protocols (methods) used for
computers to communicate via modem to their ISP (Internet Service
Provider) for access to the internet. PPP is usually faster, and thus
preferred.
