Allow creating Features, Distributions, Targets (?) on the fly

Currently the user has to explicitly create a new Feature, Distribution, or
Target, before s/he can associate items from one column to the next column.
I would be more user friendly to allow the user to create hese on the fly: When
the user drops a number of items on an empty spot in the next column,
automatically ask for the name of the new Feature, Distribution, or Target, and
after creating that, associate the selected items to the newly created item.
