I can't help but complain a bit about this one, even if I know this is
counter-productive. At least venting helps a bit.

This bug has gone through 3 (!) releases and is still present.

This is not a bug hitting a minimal number of machines either, it is
widespread.

This is not a bug that shows its ugly face in a very restricted
situation, it is systematic for people hit by it.

This is not a bug touching a less-than-important functionality, we are
talking about shutdown!

Nevertheless, it is marked as "Medium".

Nevertheless it is marked as "fix released", and still it is there.

There is little feedback from developers, only a lot of "me too".

Now that 7.04 is released, we are in for another 6 months cycle of hope
that it will eventually get fixed in 7.10...

So, in the spirit of being positive and constructive, what can we do,
us, the non-coders, do that can help the developers fix this thing, and
get it included in a kernel update?

Nico
