I did mention earlier that my Kubuntu release was Feisty and am certainly not going to downgrade to Xubuntu Edgy after getting attached to some of Feisty's best points.
However, now that you two mention it, a full history of all my *Buntu usage does present a very interesting pattern. 1st: Xubuntu Edgy on 32-bit machine [no restart/shutdown/suspend issues] 2nd: Kubuntu Edgy on 64-bit machine [freezing with restart/shutdown, system instability with suspend] 3rd: Kubuntu Feisty on same 64-bit machine [freezing with restart/shutdown, network disconnects after suspend] 4th: Xubuntu Feisty on same 64-bit machine [no restart/shutdown/suspend issues] I suppose I could try installing 32-bit Kubuntu on my 32-bit machine to see if this is truly a KDE issue, but the hard drive on that machine is too small and is already used up by PCLinuxOS. Furthermore, I haven't experienced any restart/shutdown issues using the Kubuntu LiveCD (or for that matter, just the plain log-in screen). -- Power down after shutdown does not work... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/43961 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of a duplicate bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
