A notebook behaves the same way under Vista without ePower Management software
installed. It looks like ePower software does only some WMI work. Tracing IRP
flow (with the tools like IRP Traker) can show what it actually does. Also
there is a file "acpimof.mof" with a list of WMI requests that are used (as I
think).

>From the user point of view ePower sofware just sets CPU throttling, LCD
brightness and Wireless/Bluetooth power state.

Maybe that can help.
