thanks for confirming that 2.6.24 fails like 2.6.25.
If you could verify that the latest upstream kernel - 2.6.26-rc
still fails, that would be helpful.  It it isn't too much trouble,
it would be good to know if any of the 'high volume kernels,
such as 2.6.18, or 2.6.20 pre-date this issue,
or if it has always existed.

Also, still looking for the output from dmesg -s64000

Also, please take a close look at irq19 in /proc/interrupts
and see if some sort of device activity causes it to increment.
eg. try disconnecting the network, try unloading driver for sdhc0 etc.
