------- Comment #56 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-09-23 18:31 -------
Hi, reading this bug report, I hoped, that the problem will be fixed on my MSI
S271, too.

So I installed 2.6.27-rc7-git, which contains the patch from comment 53 (did
check that).

But still I'm not able to get any valuable output out of the acpi system.
The difference is, that the battery is always marked as being present, only the
values are wrong:

cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info
present: yes
design capacity: 37008 mAh
last full capacity: 37008 mAh
battery technology: rechargeable
design voltage: 37008 mV
design capacity warning: 0 mAh
design capacity low: 0 mAh
capacity granularity 1: 1 mAh
capacity granularity 2: 1 mAh
model number: MS-1058

serial number:

battery type: LION

OEM info: MSI Corp.

cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charged
present rate: unknown
remaining capacity: unknown
present voltage: 10000 mV

acpi -V
     Thermal 1: ok, 50.0 degrees C
  AC Adapter 1: on-line

acpi -b doesn't show anything.
Is the debug patch from comment 4 still the one to test?
Or is this a completely different issue?
