I've just tried this, but unfortunately it seems to affect the freeze. Now the machine freezes after X switched the console to raw mode. So I can't see an eventual backtrace. And there's nothing in the netconsole, too. I've tried a few things to freeze the box in a more useful way but didn't succeed.
