Ok, i'm committing a script to do this, then. I would still like to know where it is that the event is handled for the Prepare-for-undock key - partly because acpi-support is intended to go away and it would therefore be good to put this functionality somewhere else, and partly because hal is /also/ deprecated, so if it's hal that's handling this, the handling is likely to break in Lucid.
