Assigning this bug back to Zhang Rui - this is an ACPI video bug, not an
acer-wmi bug.
The fact that acer-wmi doesn't load on this hardware is a separate bug - even
if it did load, it would hand over control of the backlight to the ACPI video
driver, so doesn't have any bearing here.
