An interesting find though: use of function keys changes the value of /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/actual_brightness as expected, but the value of /proc/acpi/video/GFX0/DD02/brightness does not update until I have read from actual_brightness? Perhaps nothing too important there, but an interesting find, nonetheless.
