I have the same bug (battery draining after shutdown on TOSHIBA PORTEGE
Z830-11G).
Am running 3.16-0.bpo.2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.3-2~bpo70+1 (2014-09-21)
x86_64 GNU/Linux
Also the same problem with kernels 3.14 and 3.2.
Debian GNU/Linux 7.6 (wheezy)
setting HWCLOCKACCESS=no in /etc/default/hwclock has solved the issue for me.
