After I could not reliable reproduce good/bad commits, I tried to simulate the issue without loading the kernel (in the laptop BIOS menu) and I was able. After that, I started to be more sure that this was a hardware problem. I couldn't spot anything by sight, but after detaching and attaching again the small fan cables to the board, never happened again.
