Once he is certain that they are legitimate members and not spammer, he approves them and they are free to post and all messages go through without any delay. This method works great and keeps out almost all spam. And there are many knowledgable members on the list. Definately worth joining! As far as learning ASP.NET, go for it. I could go on for hours about the many advantages of learning it. A love classic ASP, but will never design another site using it due to all the advantages of .NET. Mark

I'm also in the process of learning ASP.NET, and I actually believe that doing so is actually helping me come up with better ways of coding in regular ASP. Due to this correlation I would definitely encourage ASP.NET discussion, while at the same time emphasizing its relationship to classic ASP. I can honestly say that I don't think I will never completely abandon classic ASP as it is cheap, lightweight, simple, and I have a ton of supporting code and tools for it. -Matias -----Original Message----- From: Niels Bieze [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, October 29, 2004 7:55 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ASP] allowing Dot Net? Hi All I've been on this list a long time and have enjoyed it a lot, I'm now, just like a lot of other people in the process of switching to ASP.NET, but have yet to find a list like this. There are a few, but all are badly moderated and are spamed to death by "job opportunity's" in places I've never heard of! + there's no [EMAIL PROTECTED] So maybe, just maybe it's a good idea to open this list for ASP.NET as well?
