They may need to put that much data on the website, but I'm sure they don't need to put it all in one place. Surely users don't want to work through it to find the bit they're after.
They should be using more detailed search wuestions to help the users get to just the bit they want. In theory, the problem doesn't lie with the ASP programmers, but rather with the people who designed the database and the retrieval criteria. That is - if they're not the same people. :-) Dave S ----- Original Message ----- From: Ghassan To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, February 12, 2005 9:26 PM Subject: Re: [ASP] Long dynamic table Thanx again David, they have no choice but to put that much amount of data on their website, they're a governmental institution and people turn out to their website for vital information, the reason why they want to break it a part is to increase loading per page, as most of people here use dial-up connections. What surprise me that why they're letting a non-expert ASP developers to do the job and not handling this issue to an IT solution company. Any way, I think the solution became clear now, thanx again David. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Home : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/active-server-pages --------------------------------------------------------------------- Post : [email protected] Subscribe : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- Yahoo!
