List.. I'd like to take the temperature and ask if
anyone has done extensive work with any of the AJAX
toolkits available, and of course 4D and Active4D...
Specifically, the minimum requirements is strong
cross-platform compatibility, i.e. Internet Explorer
6+, FireFox and Safari.
I'm leaning towards MochiKit (http://mochikit.com/)
and have been following their discussion list.
I am several months into a heavy ajax project using scriptaculous
(which is built on prototype). Some features of scriptaculous:
- Now part of Ruby on Rails project, so it is heavily used and
maintained
- Easy-to-use API
- Great visual effects
I've looked at MochiKit and Dojo, in the end I decided on scriptaculous.
