mind giving the list an update on how the work is going?
Since you ask...
I am killing myself to get this thing done -- 7 days a week, 6-10
hours a day. It's bankrupting me. I have spent 6 months working on it
with no significant income. As a result I had to borrow a ton of money
just to keep me going. If it weren't for the kindness of one client
who has partially funded development, I would have burned through the
loan as well.
When will it be done? I wish I knew. The end is in sight, but I have
no idea how long it will take to get there, and after so many
inaccurate predictions about the release date, I will not make any more.
The pricing and support changes I made last year will be reverted --
it was an experiment that failed. I will go back to a $700 first year
cost, $130 per-license renewals, and support via the mailing list. I
haven't decided on the upgrade cost yet, but it will be significantly
more than the $130 renewal cost.
