Steve,
Well, I setup everything using 4d 2004, Active4d 4.5 and get the same white 
screen!  Even though I can open the fdf directly and it works fine, the only 
thing I can guess is that the fdf might be incorrectly formatted as that is the 
only thing that is different between our 2 setups.  If it wouldn't be a 
problem, could you email me your "rustytest.fdf" that worked in your example?  
I really want to get this to work and I must be close if it works for you.  I 
can't think of anything else that's different.
