I tried your suggestion.

It did create the symbolic link in the web_static folder.
I changed the img src line to

The images are stored on an external drive: BABYLON5.
I can not figure out what is wrong with the path.

<img src="file:///BABYLON5/SUImages/210/21005/210050261.jpg" alt="" width="250" height="275">

file: is wrong, that refers to a file on the *client* machine, not on the server. The best thing is to serve the images staticly, so you need a path like this:

src="/SUImages/210/21005/210050261.jpg"

To make this work, make a symbolic link in your static web directory (the directory configured as the web directory within 4D, e.g. web_decoy) to BABYLON5/SUImages. In Terminal you would do this:

  cd /path/to/static_web
  ln -s /Volumes/BABYLON5/SUImages

That's it.
