Joshua Good news if you are getting joy now using the boot disk. On Compaq laptops you need to set the boot order to use something like INTMBA(INT = Intel MBA=Master boot adapter), this then gives you the F12 function. I'm not sure if this is also the case on Dells but in the list of boot device you see an obscure one it will be worth a try.
