[ActiveDir] DNS

In my lab we have an NT 4.0 BDC running DNS and when I upgraded our NT 4.0
PDC to Win2k and go through the AD wizard, it tells me that DNS is not
available. Do I need to have the PDC in the DNS table prior to upgrading?
