I think it might be something else...

Our sites a spilt between private and public addresses.

And this means our off site servers (w2K) can see each other.

But only our on site W2K servers can see the old NT4 Domain.

So I was kinda wondering if everything could be getting a little messed
up...

Mike,
How is your WINS configured.
Windows 2k can use DNS, nt4/win9x still relies on WINS
If you have your offsite-win2k machines register in the site with the
nt4/win2k boxes, they should become visible.
In fact, your should only need one wins server on this site (you could
add a
secondary BUT ON THE MAIN SITE.
Best practice would not mean having one on each site and peering.

Subject: [ActiveDir] [OT] Vanishing Domains....

Hi,

Just created a two way trust between a W2K and NT4 Domain.

Usernames appear in both domains.
The W2K Domain has onsite and offsite servers.
Users log in to the NT4 Domain.
Client is 95.

Every one can log into the Nt4 Domain.
No-one can get to the Off site W2K servers.
Can see the local NT4 Servers.
Can see the local parts of the W2K domain.

Broke the trust relationship and it all works again....

Any ideas ?????

Mike.
