a minimum, A common AV Client (Norton, McAfee, etc) with up to date
definitions, a Personal Firewall of some sort (I'm using Norton, someone
else said the FW built into XP is decent, although not great). Our
worries are about financial data being shared with family members, as in
Hey honey, come look at this!. Again that is covered in the NDA they
sign at the time of hire, is that really enough?

We don't do a specific VPN agreement for users - the NDA covers that at
hire
time. Our big rule about VPN is that only Inovis owned assets are
allowed to
connect to the network (applies to the LAN as well), so no one can
install
the required VPN software on their home machines.
