One idea would (without AD tools) is to enable autologin with a local workstaion account. Then edit the registry to run Remote Desktop immediately with a predefined user/TSserver/login, the easiest way IMHO is to run a customized .rdp file and set the path to it in the Run key. Don't forget to lock down the desktop with policies/reg hacks so the user isn't able to logoff, shutdown etc...
Well, that's a way a client of mine is doing it, but it's not a strict Kiosk, rather it's a regular client situation... And yes it's a "special case" customer...

Another way (haven't tried it since NT4) is to use the Shell key to use something other than explorer....

Subject: [ActiveDir]Win XP SP2 kiosk

How can I use AD tools to make a xp SP2 machine a kiosk system basically that can only run remote Desktop.

The optimum would have when the system boots up to automatically come up and launch Remote Desktop.

Any Ideas
