One idea would (without AD tools) is to enable autologin
with a local workstaion account. Then edit the registry to run Remote Desktop
immediately with a predefined user/TSserver/login, the easiest way IMHO is to
run a customized .rdp file and set the path to it in the Run key. Don't forget
to lock down the desktop with policies/reg hacks so the user isn't able to
logoff, shutdown etc...
Well, that's a way a client of mine is doing it, but it's
not a strict Kiosk, rather it's a regular client situation... And yes it's a
"special case" customer...
Another way (haven't tried it since NT4) is to use the
Shell key to use something other than explorer....
