It talks of two log files that may have the success/failure info of the extension process. If this is OK then we need to find which directory partitions are not in sync. Have all the root DCs sync'd OK? Thats the first step I guess.
Assuming the child DCs and the root DC at your location are in the same site, has the schema and configuration partitions sync'd? What happens when you try ot use replmon and force a pull replication of the schema from a Root DC partner?
