Hi, I have tried using ActivePerl 5.8.8 build 822 under Windows XP Pro SP2 with Apache 2.2.4 with and without SSL.
Sometimes when using a mod_perl 2.0.3 application the web server gave an error when trying to start it and if the application was more complex the percent of insuccesses was bigger. If I tried to use a Catalyst application, very rarely the web server could start and work. I've installed ActivePerl 5.8.8 build 820, and everything works fine. Is there a bug in ActivePerl 5.8.8 build 822, or it just cannot work well with the following configuration? Intel Core 2 DUO 3 GHz, 2 GB RAM at 1066 MHz, Assus motherboard with an Intel chipset, NVidia video card, Creative SB X-FI XtremeGamer sound card, SATA 2 hard disk with 10000 RPM, IDE hard disk, TV tunner, CD/DVD writer I would like to use ActivePerl 5.8.8 build 822 because more useful modules are installed and updated, and I won't need to see those cpan shell errors when trying to install some of them in an older perl.
