Well, At least you know the python library is likely to be adopted, and useful everywhere they use PYTHON. With C/C++, the language is a great and worthwhile language, but was meant to only be the most SIMPLE(as far as the built in capabilities(writing to a file, or even the terminal requires using a library)) of languages. AT&T, BSD, several customers, and the IEEE got together and came up with POSIX. Without that, C would have been a DISASTER.(no standard way to do anything) Unfortunately, they didn't go so far as to produce a SQL standard, GUI standard, or even a terminal standard! I'm speaking of libraries here.
BTW, I looked long and hard for a nice reasonably priced NATIVE SQL library(for C). None of them worked, so I wrote my own. Unfortunately, it will only be useful for MY projects. 8-( There are at least 3 widely used GUI standards for C. You can't use M/S software, because that is only good for M/S.
