Sirs and Mesdames:
When I attempt to remove an earlier ActivePython, prefatory to installing the version based on Python 2.2.2, I receive the following two messages:
· "Error 1721; There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
· "Fatal error during installation."
When I try to install ActivePython 2.2.2, a command prompt screen opens of approximately .4 seconds and then closes. Whether this owes to my inability to relieve the older version of ActivePython, I cannot say. Has anyone any suggestions? I am,
