Hi, Sounds to me like some exe/dll is corrupt.
You may want to re-install the MSI component. Have you been able to install/uninstall any other MSI based applications lately? One last thing to try is to invoke the installer in 'quite' mode (no UI) try something like Msiexec.exe /x /qn x:\mypath\ActivePython.msi replacing paths (and filenames) as necessary. Good luck Mark -----Original Message----- From: Michael C. Urban [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 04 December 2002 00:12 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Removal/Installation Problems. Well, I doubt that the "Program too big to fit in memory" message when trying to install the new version has anything to do with the fact that you can't remove the old version. I'm not sure what to tell you about that. I haven't seen that error message since the days of tweaking EMM386 settings to get enough conventional memory for running DOS applications. In the meantime, until someone figures out what is going on with ActivePython, you could of course, install the Python build from www.python.org. That build doesn't use the same installer so maybe it won't give you problems. Also grab the win32all file if you want Pythonwin and COM support. At least that way you won't have to go through Python withdrawel. :p Mike ---- "The fingerprint of God is often a pawprint." -- Susan Chernak McElroy On Tue, Dec 03, 2002 at 02:42:07PM -0800, Fred Allen wrote: > Michael, > > Thank you.
