Hey there, i'm currently working on a theatre project where I need to trigger certain short film clips at random times. We want the films and the atmos sound in between the films to be able to be midi triggered with the keyboard, ie to play the 'chase' sequence, hit key 'a' and the chase sequence is cued to be played.
I'm working with Final Cut Pro to edit these sequences, and the audio guy is working with Logic. We want to work in surround sound, which is why I'd like to trigger it with Final Cut, however from my understanding you can't midi trigger different parts of a sequence with different keys on the keyboard. (let me know if you can, that'd be great!!) Does anyone know of a software where you can midi trigger the film and the sound with different keys? (rather than goto next marker, goto next marker ... and so on until you get to the bit you want to cue.) I usually cue my visuals in modul8, however this doesn't work with sound) The film is going out through s-video to a dlp projector, and the sound is going through a firewire410 soundcard.
