I personally thought that ADF Faces was pretty well documented. It just got confusing sometimes based on the versioning. Some documentation dealt with the EA releases specifically. I too am using Trinidad now specifically for the built in Facelets support. With ADF Faces you had to boot strap another jar that was provided by Adam Winer to the facelets project. It just added to complexity of getting it to work. I am just getting anxious for Trinidad to graduate from Incubation. I was googling all over the place for any link with adf-share.lib and couldn't find it. And that was exactly why it was braking up. That library file was missing, I was searching for it to try with it, and couldn't find it until now. Now I am happily engaged with Trinidad and have no intention of going back. I still think ADF Faces was badly documented if I couldn't resolve this issue. I personally think Trinidad for the above reasons (damn adf-share.jar and such things) is a better choice.
