The purpose of CLUE is currently defined as: "The goal of the Canadian Linux Users' Exchange is to increase the use and appreciation in Canada of what is known as the Linux computer operating system, by enhancing association and communication amongst its developers, users, suppliers, and the general public."
Is this too vague? Should "the Linux computer operating system" be expanded to perhaps "open source/free operating systems" thereby including the BSD's, etc? Is "increase the use and appreciation" to non-specific? Should the purpose perhaps include statements regarding the use in education, for social activism, etc.?
