In an effort to support this initiative as as OOo.org will be a major component of the exercise at least from a software perspective, you can expect the openoffice.ca list server to come on line this comming week as we complete phase 1 of our role out plan Russell. Phase 2 will see release of a canadian OOo.org community protal, (eventually in dual languages upon completion of the translations) with seperate entrances for users, developers, OEM/ISV's and canadian contrib projects or software initiatives. It will be based architectually on zope/CMF/Plone and ZopeZen skins to start with CVS and other nicities backended through Sourceforge.(eventually) Once we get closer to releasing things Russell I will coordinate the announcement program through canopener and other OS media oultets first. Then mainstream at which point we will be contacting your group and clue for assistance For people interested in participating in this effort annoucements will be forwarded to clue (and others sites) as our project/program is intended to be rolled out on a national level which is consistant with clue initiatives. If anyone is into Zope, you are always needed..:) Pls contact me off list, but I will be in TO till Tues with no email contact till I get back to Ottawa. To keep things geographically and politically neutral from a Canadian perspective, openoffice.ca will be hosted in Regina, thanks to the donation of JP Pasnak and WarpedSystems. We owe you much JP.
