Glen, Thanks for the tips. I still have such problem.
The file I have is encoded using Canopus Procoder which is ready for DVD authoring (.m2p). Encore DVD transcode setting only shows "Automatic". But then, after Encore encoded the file, it shows "Don't Transcode". It looks like it has transcoded the file. I don't know what it is to create the mpeg files that is in Encore's taste. Should I encode from AVI to MPEG2 using Adobe Media Encoder instead? Just click on the file in the Project bin, then go to the Properties tab where you'll see the Asset properties, and change the DVD Transcode properties from Automatic to Don't Transcode. This will only work if you already have a DVD-compliant file. You can't do that if you've got an AVI file, as it has to be changed to an MPEG video file first.
