wow... you've all given me much to think about. so you think we can really get
a smokin' machine for around $300? cause that alienware was very expensive new
4 years ago!
i think we may go the new machine route- guess i'll have to figure out how to
get xp on it somehow- i was able to get a dell laptap a few months ago that
shipped with xp- right before they stopped. don't want no vista!!
so, say i get a new pc- i just need to get the best video card we can afford,
right? i'll have to check on the firewire port thing for capture first, right?
although i've seen speed tests where usb 2 meets or beats firewire- any
thoughts on that?
