Encore settings? I remember initially fighting which Encore settings to use
in CS3 and made lots of DVD's that weren't right. But through trial-n-error
I eventually found what works great, though I can't tell you right now what
that is, except to say that the project in Premiere Pro is kept at HD
1920x1080 throughout, and in Encore I keep everything set up for Blu-Ray;
only when making the actual disk does it say "DVD" because I pick the DVD
drive. I think it has to be Interlaced format but I'm not sure now.

Hoping this helps.

Lee

Subject: [AP] How to "down convert" ?

Hi!

I did shoot a concert yesterday in HD with my SONY HDR-FX7.

The client is not HD/BLU-RAY ready yet, so I have to down convert all
the video to SD quality. (I did shoot in HD to give him the tape for
his future reference/backup).

How to down convert ? Do I simply bring everything to APP CS3 and
export thru FILE - EXPORT - MOVIE or I still use the FILE - EXPORT -
ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER ?

Thank you for your guidance!

PS : I tried to convert it while capturing it from my FX7 using the
convert function (from the FX7), but I didn't have any success to it
(it captured only 22 minutes out of 60)

Bye!

Jean
