If that is the way you're leaning, then why not go for it? Regarding
Elements, I haven't read anywhere that there is an upgrade path nor that
projects are compatible between the two. I have no way of knowing whether I
am wrong, but supposing they are not compatible - decide whether it matters
to you.

You could spend $2000 on a camera and another $2000 for tripods, heads, and
lights, another chunk for the Adobe Suite.

Sadly, there is no end to spending opportunities!

Thanks Lee...Cool advice. Yeah, I already have Photoshop (although I
prefer using the Macromedia Suite's for most graphics tasks, and
actually TEACH the Macromedia courses for our local college). That
being said, yeah, I'm probably leaning toward JUST Premiere Pro,
although, I'd LOVE to "get away with" being able to JUST get Elements
and put that extra money toward a better camera. Here's a question: If
I do Elements now, will it "upgrade" to Premiere Pro, or are these two
completely separate and unrelated pieces of software? It just makes me
"tingle" (lol) thinking that I could maybe take my $2000, and but
$1900 into a better camera and only $100 into the software instead of
$1200 into the camera and $800 into the software (Premiere only). Make
sense? Am I silly in thinking that just Elements will do what I need?

Thanks,
