I just installed 64 bit Premiere CS5 and ran Real Temp to measures my CPU temp.
It came up with temps in the mid 80C's. Intel won't say what the max temp
should be. I have the stock retail box fan and heatsink installed. Good open
area inside case and even took the side off and with a 12 inch fan blowing on
the MB the temp never went down below 83C. That's when I export the timeline
and it works the CPU at 95% . When I render the timeline it uses all of my ram
instead and then the CPU temp stays under 60C. (i wonder what the ram temp is
now).
Anyway what have you all done in this situation? With my next $100 I was
thinking of switching to a water cooler on the CPU. Any other ideas?

8 gig ram
Gigabyte MB
Stock heatsink & fan
2 case fans
