You say "low memory" message. Big clue. Your computer hardware is probably
OK. You might be able to try CS5 - the caveat is that any codec that
requires Adobe to pay the royalty in the trial version will not be present
in the trial version. That includes mpeg and I don't know what others, if
any. As far as I know, all of the features are present and enabled in the
trial version, though.

Subject: [AP] crashing during export now

me again.

so we finally got to this point (time to export). he tried to export thru
encore to a Flash file (wanted to put a version on the web)and said that it
froze up & he got a low memory message (i was out of town so didn't
experience it myself). this is the same project you guys have been helping
us with. i'm beginning to wonder if there isn't something wrong with this
computer- but as i said it's brand new, never been on-line, i checked all the
obvious physical issues for problems, but it still seems to be way
overtaxed. or maybe this particular project is jinxed? does everyone agree
with Lee that if/when we upgrade from CS4 to CS5 things will be much better?
I'm working on that angle at the
moment but have not obtained it yet.
thoughts are appreciated as usual!

Adriane
