Sony includes their "memory recording unit" - 
lets you record to CF (same time as tape, as a 
failover in case you run out of tape, only to CF.....)

Yes - I splurged and am happy that I did.  There 
aren't too many 1/3" mount lenses and those that 
I've seen (at B&H or such) are $15k+.  I think 
the only other actual "Z7" mount (with the 
electrical contacts in it) is the wide angle from 
Sony.... but for me the adapter was the killer feature.

There are a few features that I wish my earlier 
cameras had had: live histogram, full-time audio 
level meters on-screen.   Many of the Z7's 
abilities are beyond my experience so far - all 
of the image tweak setting and such.  I think it 
will keep me for quite a few years.
