What to do depends on when you want to re-use the clips.

If you have not used scene detect you can create new individual clips of
the cut up sections
on the timeline by creating a "New Trimmed Project".

Click > Project > Project Manager
In the new Project Manager window select "Create New Trimmed Project".
Premiere will now create new individual clips with individual names.
If the original source file was XXX, it will name the new clips XXX_1,
XXX_2 etc.

You could now either keep the whole trimmed project or delete everything
except the
trimmed clips from the folder to which you exported the project.

You must understand that you are not capturing clips into a project but
somewhere
onto your HDD which could obviously be the folder in which you have all
the other
project information.
As long as you know where the clips are you can use and import them into
any other
project.
