Hi 'L', Don't be put off by 'old fasiondness', Premiere Pro (PP) can 'output' (produce) Flash Video files (FLV) for being embedded in websites, which is the best for what you need. There may be some members on here that can help in that department, but mainly this group is, as Lee says, about editing and all the quirks and tips with PP software through the ages. A simple webcam right up to a camcorder (costing as much or more than the master suite) might be all you need, depending on your requirements.
If you want some pointers as to what to shoot for your blog and, what order to put the resultant 'blog' then no doubt one of us can help with that too. The master suite for a 'blog' does seem a little overkill in my eyes, that's a LOT of information to take in to learn each individual component. Guess it depends on how much you already know, its certainly a steep learning curve, but YouTube does have some useful video tutorials which can certainly help you in most, if not all aspects of Adobe software, from start to finish. Tell us a little more and you never know, it could be sooner than later before your first blog is online. Cheers for now, Neil.
