No, I used different mono sounds.

Have now tried the way CB referred to.
(Break out stereo to mono) which I have done many times in the past.
Same thing - no problem.
In fact I have previously mixed many different types of sound together 
without a problem.

If the file format is acceptable by Premiere it will convert all the 
different
formats (wav, mp3 etc , in stereo, mono or 5.1) to the one you specify 
in your export settings -
the same as with the visuals.

The only thing I do not normally do is put the project into Encore 
(dynamic link)
but rather export in Premiere with AME. That way I put only one audio 
track into Encore.
