Lee,

The light sensitivity will be resolved in a different way. I am sure you
are aware
of High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. They will apply that principle
to Video
cameras as well.
A company (institute) in the UK has developed a prototype of such a camera.
They are recording 21 different exposures of each frame!!!!!!!!!
Those exposures are then processed to give you a perfectly exposed picture.
High contrast will no longer be a problem.
You know of TV transmission of an event in a stadion where one side of
the pitch is in
sunlight and the other one in the shade. With HDR everything will be
properly exposed.

You will also no longer need ANY lighting under the darkest conditions.

At the moment they are developing the cameras for big production houses
(Hollywood)
and TV but as usual, once the technology is there it will be developed
for the mass
consumer as well - probably watered down.

Such a system will obviously need massive storage capacities and
computing power
but also that is available at a cost but soon for all of you (I will not
live long enough).:-)

Arri have also developed such a camera already but not as sophisticated
as the one in the UK.

And when it is ready for us, we will need Premiere Pro CS12.

I have more info about the topic but don't have it with me right now.
Will get it and send it to you.

Uwe
