Neil,
Both, the Mede8er and the Western Digital play certain AVI files but not Microsoft AVI and those are the ones I referred to. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=330 The players on your website also refer to MPEG4 AVI Apart from that they are a great thing to have. I store all my videos on hard drives and in addition on the internal HDD in the Mede8er so I have all of them available any time and if needed anywhere and it serves as a additional backup. The Mede8er can take up to 2Tb internal drives although I only have a 500Gb drive but that takes plenty of videos. I will never use BR discs for my own videos - don't trust discs. Uwe Thats funny Ewe, all of my media players play AVI files natively. MOV files are a lot more troublesome, but with most phones and gadgets using it nowadays, I guess they had to incorporate it. < http://www.maplin.co.uk/search?c=so&u=strat305&forcelayout=list&criteria=_mpeg4_dvd_player > Neil. > > ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
