The GH2 has a crop sensor function which turns a 300mm lens into a
600mm lens or so. Panasonic has a 300mm zoomlens but you can also use
other photo lenses (Nikon, Canon, Sigma etc) using a lens adapter.
You'll need some time to get used to shooting with a DLSR but the
image quality is much better than that of normal video camcorders.
I'm working with DSLR video for 2 years now, totally used to it and I
can't work with video camcorders anymore.
Look for sample videos of the GH2 on Youtube and Vimeo. There is a
great video of planes taking off shot with the GH2 in crop sensor
mode but I can't find the direct link.
