What happened is when TDP SQL is actually backing up and you run your select, then you will get the correct count. As TDP SQL runs from an NT client and you (probably) have scheduler setup on the client, then when it finishes, the scheduler recontacts the server for next schedule and the "paltform_name" will be WinNT.
You can do a "q node f=d" while a TDP SQL is running and then again after to see this in action. As has been discussed recently about verifying backups, this is another step that has to be checked several ways to get the correct result. David B.
