Bill, main portion of the R/3 data is within the RDBMS (be it DB2, Oracle or other) but not *all*! You can perform online backup of the DB2 database but it will be out of sync with R/3 activity and other data. The result - you may get an inconsistent backup, restore will be down an unsupported way (and you will be on your own), etc. Without ITSM for ERP (former TDP for R/3) you will not be able to use R/3 tools.

What are the binifits? Thanks a lot. Bill __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com
