Ummmmmmm....................Buy more tapes ? We ran for a long, long time with over 400 tapes assigned to a 3583-L72.
Yes, it is an administration headache, but it works (and is much cheaper than buying a disk farm). But, if you have the money for a disk farm, go for it.
